Unsightly

. I needed inspiration, time, and support from my husband. Men often find much of what women create unnecessary. But I convinced my husband, he didn\’t need much help, and now he is happy with the results.
What is it? It was the beautification of the lid (hatch) of our well. Our well is identical to my grandmother\’s well. I mean, perhaps at first glance, but that doesn\’t matter. Concrete trusses, concrete lid, two half circles. Not fun to handle, and heavy anyway.

Plastic hatchesare at the treatment plant. But there is no real need to look in there, which is there for a year. The problem is that they are much less attractive and unsightly than the concrete hatches.

What about it?

Fortunately, there are several solutions. But not all of them are suitable for everyone. It depends on how often you lift the hatch and how much space you have around the hatch. But here are a few tips that I like and use.
Pebbles
You can put them on the wall where the hatch or cleaner protrudes. It looks very effective, and in the summer you can put a pot or flower box on it and you\’re done. However, you must take into account that the hutch will be quite heavy. Different colored glass pebbles could be chosen.

Flower Wall
Around the semi-circle or open circle, build a small wall with different blocks according to your taste, and plant plants and herbs on it. Access will be maintained, but the hatch will not be visible.
Grasses and tall plants
The easiest way to do this is to plant ornamental grasses around the perimeter so that the hatch is not visible in summer and winter. Various types and colors can be combined.
Decorative wooden covers
You can have a nice looking wooden one made out of plastic and place the flower boxes on top of it again.
