Situations in which a broken-down vehicle may not be towed with a rope
A car may be towed regardless of previous roadworthiness inspections. There is no point in getting upset about the make or model of the car. What is more important is how to get out of this unpleasant situation.
First and foremost, it is important to remove the obstruction from the road and tow the car, preferably to your home or the nearest garage. In the best case, if no assistance service is arranged to take care of towing the vehicle at your own expense, a private towing service works perfectly well. Do you have deep pockets? Then there is a last resort: rope towing.
Follow the rules
The maximum speed limit for towing is set at 60 km/h.
– Unregistered vehicle without registration marks

– Expired registration

[ Screw in and pull out
Older models have front and rear towing eyes. Newer models probably have a towing eye as a required option, which must be screwed in. Remove the bumper caps to see where they screw in.
Simply thread the rope through the eye provided and secure it properly with a pin. There is also a locking system with carabiners, which simplifies the whole process.
Remember to maintain the correct spacing of 2.5 to 6 meters. Check if you are using towing accessories from an untested manufacturer, if not, make sure they are the specified length.
Warning triangle flags
